About TBC
Our Story
The story of how it all started back in 1978, when he became a Trucker by Choice. There was a young boy disking a field and daydreaming about the day he gets old enough that he’s leaving this tractor and he’s going to drive a big truck. He had his mind set all the way back then that he was going to be a Trucker. He loved the family farm but he just knew the highway was where he would feel the most freedom.

The years go by and he’s all grown up and old enough to drive; so he decided it was time –so he took the chance to just go for it - to see if he could make his daydreams come true.

My dad has always been compassionate and thoughtful, and he knew his mom would worry herself sick about him being out on the road, but to ease her mind he promised her that he would be one of the most professional and safest Truckers to ever hit the highways. And that’s exactly what he did. He’s been trucking my entire life and now I worry sick about him, but it does ease my mind because I know grandma’s watching over him and we both know that he is one of the most professional and safest truckers to ever hit the highways.
And while I ride shotgun in the big truck cruising down the open road that’s the story My Dad told me about how he became a Trucker by Choice.

A Little Bit About Me
So, my story begins – I was taught how to truck by a man who I have always considered to be my second Dad. I lost my Dad, Thomas Lee Beswick, to a Trucking accident where he rolled it over going down a mountain in Kentucky with a load of cattle on. That memory has always stuck in my mind and to this day it helps me to be who I am.

My Mom and Dad, Tom and Jane Beswick
Another very important man in my life was named Gordon Bielema. He may have been my high school girlfriend's father, but he is also the man who has taught me so many things in life. Gordon is the man whom I considered to be my second Dad. He taught me firsthand how to be one of the safest most professional Truckers on the highway. He also taught me to open my mind up to anything and everything around me, to see what I feel is missing in the world that might do someone some good and to look for things that could help people benefit in different ways.
Gordon was a man who I will never forget and if you knew him you would have loved him, too. He could do anything when he set his mind to do it; and he made me believe I can too.
I’ve looked up to my Dad and Gordon as the two men who have made me who I am today, and let me tell ya they believed in freedom as much as I do. And I guess that’s why our business here is named Trucker by Choice. They always said to make wise choices and you will be happy with your life and to always do your job the best you can do and to do what you love.
The years kept rolling by and here I am how many more years ago, with two beautiful horses and a beautiful W900 that I bought brand new. It was the third truck I have bought since I have been Trucking and it is the only one I have ever ordered new.
This picture, to me, is what freedom stands for.
Sp, here I am, this is me - a man who loves the freedom of the road and the freedom to make choices in life that I hope benefits me, my family, and yours.

Why did the name Trucker by Choice decide to venture out of the white lines and bring out the products we design for the Truckers and their families back home?

It’s all got to do with good 'ol COMMON TRUCKING SENSE!

And that's why we've made this site and the products created for you.

Why We Do What We Do

We live and breathe to help solve problems—any way we can.

Growing up in the country, we were raised with strong morals and high standards. One of the most important lessons we learned was to always look out for one another—and that’s a value we still live by today.

Our company was built on those same good ol’ country values: respect, hard work, and taking care of our own. That’s why we’ve made Trucker by Choice official. It’s our way of giving back and offering peace of mind to drivers and their families, wherever the road may take them.
We’re focused on creating products that truly help—tools that offer real benefits and make a difference. And we’re always working on new ways to support you, because that’s what neighbors do.

We’re in this together—mile after mile.

Our Mission

Our company was built on the foundation of this nation’s core values—honesty, hard work, and dedication—and on the unwavering intention to help truckers avoid the unnecessary hassles that come with life on the road.

We’re here to provide products that not only make life on the road easier, but more importantly, safer. That’s our top priority.

After spending over 40 years behind the wheel with a spotless record, I know firsthand the challenges and risks that come with this lifestyle. I’ve dedicated my life not only to working hard and providing for my family, but also to creating tools that can be truly life-changing for truckers like me—by choice—and for the families waiting for us to make it home safely.

We’re proud to serve this community, and we’re driven by a simple promise: to protect, support, and stand with truckers every mile of the way.
